After the cancellation of our trip to China and Tibet due tot SARS we went to Mexico, Guatemala and a tiny piece of Honduras (for pictures of the last two countries look in the Guatemala entry in the menu). It was our first trip in Central America and just like our first acquaintance with South America in 2002 we found it very pleasing. In Mexico we visited several known Aztec- and Mayansites, among them were Teotihuacán, Chitzen Itza, Uxmal and Palenque. Of course we visited colourful markets, colonial city's and Indian villages. The mixture of culture, nature and local things made us forget the few long days in the bus.
