We have been in Germany for several times, the first time was in the summer of 1994 for a short visit to
the prison of Colditz. In the second world war the allied war prisoners were held here. We had seen the the serie on TV
and read in the newspaper that the prison would be replaced by a hotel, and we wanted to see the old situation.
In August 2011 we went for a long weekend to Lüdenscheid, in the region Sauerland. We wanted to go walking there.
It is a beautiful region with a lot of walking routes, with paved and unpaved paths. Although the weather was not so good,
we had a nice weekend. It is too bad that the village of Lüdenscheid is very quit. On the way home we visited the
dripstone caves in Attendorn, a nice visit with beautiful stones.
From both visits you can find the photo's in the menu.
