Introduction
Argentina, the country of Máxima. We did not culture, but were on this trip
path to the nature of the southernmost part of the world to see. We have then
been extended and it was overwhelming: so great when it comes to glaciers and
plains, as exciting as it comes to whales under and next to the boat, so
impressive as the sounds of elephants that are arguing about the females,
as special as beavers that whole tracts of land to devastate their industry, and so
moving as the passion that speaks from a fantastic tango performed. Except
Argentina during this trip we also visited Chile, and its report can be
found on the page of that country.

There was again an alarm on the phone, this time at a quarter to six. The alarm was
at half past six, so we could just stay still nice feather. After breakfast it was just
waiting for the taxis which would bring us to the bus station for our trip to
Argentina. Those who had agreed Judith did not show up, so she had
Anything more tricks to others in time to get to the hotel.
Eventually we were all stressed still plenty of time for the bus that
twenty minutes late leaving. At the border post (Chile), we did only
but our passport and visa to show. The same happened three quarters
later entry into Argentina. The visa for this paper was
The bus was already distributed and completed, so when our bus once the turn was started
very smooth. After a half hour drive we arrived at hotel in Peyehue
Bariloche.
We had a simple room, but it is clean and everything works.
We are first to go and pins and a drink at Café de Pueblo.
A few companions were still in and moved on. The four are

In this first holiday dinner with the group at the Boliche Alberto. The
was a good restaurant with a kitchen containing a large BBQ,
para-called dilation. It was fine, we took (almost) all of a half
serving steak, which was large enough. Like portions of fries and salad
The mountains were full. Afterwards we walked most of the

we first came we could not stand, actually had

part, the rest were simply used as a restaurant and they can obviously not

beer, we are nice chat. We're finally gone,
with Judith and Gonzalo in a taxi back to the hotel. We were home at half past one,
great time. Only when I was told that Peter the volcano Villarica in Chile rather
cocky had been wearing sunglasses and Gonzalo had instructed him to really
give him to set up.
Saturday, October 18
To the extent possible with the urban noise, we slept. A simple but tasty
had breakfast. The group went cycling, we did not count. We would go paragliding, but
that was not because of the strong wind and we did not want in bicycles. At ease
We walked to the square, a magnificent lake views and beautiful
buildings in the town square. This lake with mountains everywhere does offer great
views and vistas. We visited the museum of Patagonia, they have a
extensive collection, especially stuffed animals in that region and the rest of
Argentina. Walking through the
Piet museum was suddenly suffering from his foot, he could hardly walk. I hope it
quickly passes, about active vacation, we almost did not. Anyway
The rest of the museum also saw Peter was at the side of his foot a little stumble.
To foot a rest first, but once an authentic coffee / chocolate home
Search. We have to start once again taken a cappuccino, with some nice
chocolates there. Then Peter took 'chocolate from the house "so to drink, and I
cone from the house. After it had spent a half hour we go
run. Along the way we bought two fleece jackets, the one we each in our
had were still very minimal. You can notice that that is not holiday
are used, and although we were well prepared we had not reckoned on
we do four weeks with the same fleece could do. Washing was not an option,
you had them always necessary and, moreover, we have not such a good experience
washing of good stuff abroad. After this heavy investments we
but first have lunch at Cafe de Pueblo. Pete and I took a sandwich a sandwich
Chicken, of course with a bottle there. We need to come home very
going to rehab. Piet en route to the hotel we took a log of chocolate,
I have not really understood what he did. I did not even a
chocolate tasting, I was so full. Back at the room we spent
slept an hour and equipped. Unfortunately, the foot of Peter yet
much better. We are on our time to enjoy to the selected restaurant (which we noon
had already searched and found). It was a hobbit named Tarquino house and was very
nice. The weather was not the most cheapest-restaurant, but also kinda nice.
After dinner we packed the stuff and the remaining wine drunk. Then my
face rubbed in it again: a fine second-degree burn.
Sunday, October 19
The first long journey of two days. We left at nine hours with our bus and two
drivers left. The bus and the drivers were fine. By lunch time we
A short walk will take around Lago Puelo. Luckily we walked a lot in the woods,
because, as was the case everywhere blowing terribly. Between the trees
beautiful vistas, and the bare trees were also very special. I was certainly
never seen a tree that naturally has no bark. One last bit along
walked to the beach but also to feel the wind again. Unfortunately we could not have
decks by the other part of the forest walk, they were in maintenance. After the walk
what we have sought shelter and ate our lunch. After that we travel
continued to our final destination of the day: Esquel.
En route we stopped
in a hacienda that was bought by the Benetton family, which a museum
Patagonia has made history. We did a tour of a
nice, but strange man. At several moments during the tour, he
his own thoughts, most times we felt that he was a nice
fantasy and the story was what CCP has foisted and / or better made.
He said the Patagonia name comes from the Spaniards who discovered the country. They
saw people with their big feet (pata = foot, gon = large) and have
it the name of the new land taken. Judith also has a few
things told, most agreed. After the tour we coffee
drink in the restaurant / shop of the museum. It is noteworthy that
the coffee here (and elsewhere) is quite expensive, often soft drinks
cheaper.
After visiting the museum we have a while before we drove to our hotel
Sol del Sur arrived. It was a different hotel than indicated in the list, but
nothing wrong with that. When we were about to join the group came to eat a
group within SRC. We are the group dinner at Casa Grande. Nice and cozy,
it's a fun group. En route to the hotel saw Peter a shop that was open,
and which had a fridge, so we brought a few beers. Upon arrival
The hotel appeared to have the bar open, but we still went to the room,
tomorrow at quarter to six.
Monday, October 20
Towards Puerto Madryn: Whales, here we come! The breakfast would be ready at half past six,
but it remains
South America, so it was nice weather wrong. After late breakfast we went:
some reading, some sleeping, some neighborhoods, a few bathroom breaks and a slightly longer
lunch. En route we stopped because we saw flamingos, which is again the
convenient of a private bus. After such a small eleven hours drive we arrived at half past five in hotel
Petit. First I go spinning, Judith wants money for the pot and for excursions. Also went
changed some Euros to secure enough money for even the food. To be sure
just look at the pharmacy for a kind of Blistex and anti-seasickness pills.
My Spanish is not very good, but after explaining "sea and waves and sick" categories
the necessary gestures knew the young lady behind the counter what I'm actually quite fast
meant. En route to the hotel we have taken a beer from the supermarket,
The hotel is a bar, but we have seen. Present but not
open. Judith sat there, and the bar turned out to be open. First, our own beer
but drunk, and then another taken away. In the intermediate time
all our money off, but it will be well worth. We were even
more money for the whale watching tour because we prefer a smaller boat wanted
go.
After all those drinks we have dinner with ambiguous after we whales from the shore even though
had seen: a small piece of tail and some syringes. All far away, but they are
so it was good to come. After dinner we had a nightcap made in the
hotel, fine weather that can, that is not the case in all hotels. We heard
that the excursions were reversed i.v.m. the bad weather: there was no danger. Now
I hope the second day is possible, otherwise we are "nothing" all this way
came and we (well das luck) next year to Canada or South Africa.
Tuesday, October 21
Taken a nice shower, this is a small and simple, but very good hotel
the name Petit. There was a great breakfast complete with fresh orange juice and a cooked
egg.
After breakfast we proceeded on our way to Punto Tombo to visit the
penguin colony. There were plentiful, they were all to the brood, so a lot
was not walking, they were too busy to fit on the eggs.
But there were
still enough to walk to make funny movies. Everywhere you looked were
or were they. It blew terribly well, so it was important to always maintain the caps
the devices do. We have a half hour to roam, and so very
seen a lot, also the water they were very funny.
When we walked back to the bus
it started to rain, and when we ate the restaurant a couple of empanadas began
the property to be transferred, so we were pretty on time with our visit to the
colony. Then our guide Martha wanted to know what we wanted to noon
do. We have chosen a short walk in Gaiman, a Welsh village. We
have opted not to put a high tea, but drove on
to Trelew where the group broke down. We are going to make first visit
to a natural history museum with a large collection of dinosaurs. Then
Hotel Touring Club are we going to do a beer. It is the hotel where
Butch Cassidy and Sundance Kid once stayed for too (tell the
story and photos on the wall). When I ordered two large beers
found that of 75 cl brothers have even greater: 97 cl. Here
So by drinking. Back at the hotel we walk again, but
Unfortunately no whales seen from the shore. I have a T-shirt
penguins and bought a keychain, then we will enjoy
eat at Caccaros. A relaxed tent with a delicious Chardonnay and an excellent
mussels, fish and squid. In the hotel we
a drink made with some companions.
Wednesday, October 22
The day of the whales!
The sky was clear blue and fortunately it blew not so hard. After (again
excellent) breakfast we went to a small exhibition on whales and other
marine life in the neighborhood. Martha was again a lot to tell, for example
the problem of the growth of Puerto Madryn. Because of this growth will also be scrapped
increasing, which in turn attracts gulls. These gulls have discovered
the blubber of whales is very tasty, and then pick up the backs of whales
open which is very painful. The fear is that the whales at any time will
stay away if that happens too. This means not only an ecological disaster
for the area, but also an economic because many tourists to
Puerto Madryn come whale watching. After visiting the museum
We drove to a place where elephants were two harems. They are very
special beasts, it was a pity that they were very far away. After that visit,
We went a bit further to a colony in Punta Delgada, where we do
could come closer. It was very special, especially since we just mating season
and were the masters of the harem very clearly let it be known who was boss. He
has a few "battles" we've done to film and photograph. The
Discovery Channel looks real. After we had climbed the dunes back to the
bus to go to the restaurant we went. Because the preserve of the elephants
Located on private property, we eat at that restaurant. The lamb was fine,
the salmon is not really well, but the beer is cold, so it all went well.
After lunch we headed to Puerto Pyramides for our whale-watching. En route
Martha told that we were assigned to the trip of four hours, so we had
Thanks for looking at what sea lions to watch. On the way over there we saw
whales jumping out of the water, the whole bus was obviously ecstatic. Sea lions
were of course, beautiful, and we saw in the distance still some whales,
but we would not be too late for our whale trip. When we arrived at
the boarding point we all got life jackets on, but we had still here
wait. We finally left at a quarter to five. While we were
waiting involved the air, but fortunately stayed dry. The boat was well on
a special way in and out of the water: because there was no scaffolding were
the boats by a tractor pushed far enough into the sea to the motor in the water.
We had chosen a Zodiac, because there may be fewer people, and you
much lower in the water. Finally we .. we were about
35 people on board and it was in one word AWESOME. The
first quarter I thought that I could not shoot through the swell
the boat, but ultimately was not too bad.
They were so close and
so impressive that the clicks of the machines and the cries of
no wonder the air were. Mother and swam very close
calf, but copies only. One came close to the boat,
just below the surface. That looks very nice on the film. Especially
also came up tails, and were held, but the
heads who came to watch what they're bozos again for such a
boat were, were very nice to see. The breathing,
known as spraying, was fantastic. The half hour of the trip were a craving for.
We heard from fellow travelers that whales had been spotted in other places that it
this place was the best, so close they had never seen them before. They swam even
under the boat. So we have chosen well for Argentina and going nowhere
More specifically go to
whale watching. This can ultimately only be disappointing. When we came back
let us, together with almost the whole group in the city off. We have
some pictures of the town and the promenade, a cup of coffee
Bonafide and in excellent dinner at La Barra, a delicious fish dish for
two persons. Back to the hotel, was picked up and taken to a beer
the room. The bags packed and just like to sleep, it was an exciting
days and we had the next day at half past five.
Thursday, October 23
We are a fine drive by bus: the first thirteen we went under the roof.
There is not much to tell, again one day with a bit of reading, little. Off
and then a pee stop or stop for a chocolate or coffee now. On one of
coffee that stops at a station ran a bit of a lama who was off the path.
He obviously wanted to go in, but that was so nice not even our driver
kept him out. There were also two motorcyclists by the Argentine
were traveling. Great admiration for this, it must be tiring to use deadly
the wind on two wheels to ride, our drivers already had trouble getting the right bus
on the road, let alone an engine. We have done our lunch break at a
Another station in the vicinity of Comodoro Rivadavia. We went first in what
drinking, but they just had coffee. Then we ate our lunch outside.
After half hour we quickly moved on, we had a lot
miles to go. Along the way we naturally necessary to guanacos
and oil fields with nodding donkeys. We left at 7 hours in the morning and left
came to eight hours to our destination: Sada hotel in Puerto San Julian,
So who exactly thirteen hours, we filled up. First I went to the
supermarket for lunch the next day. Afterwards we will enjoy the group
food. We were our own bus drivers to the door of the restaurant
brought back we were allowed to walk. The drivers of course, have their rest
necessary and who quickly went after dinner to the hotel again. We have a
settler done in the hotel and have a traveling companion company held while
her photos were gebackupd. Finally we go to bed for one hour
gone ..
Friday, October 24
We left at half past seven left for our trip south. Way we guanacos, different types of birds including ostriches, flamingos even seen. Unfortunately, we were at a quarter to a bus with a broken view. Miguel was our driver a lift to the city where some thirty kilometers before we came along. When he came back after a while he had arranged tickets for a public bus. Unfortunately already drove past without stopping to take us, so that was just not gone well. Eventually after two and half hours along a bus that transported people to and from work. Who had taken some time for us to take measures to a place where public buses have a stop. It was a bit of stuff, mate, it felt we were back on the road. We had just enough time to buy a beer, drink it was not there, the bus came very quickly. The people who were already on the bus did not look real happy, we thought it was because we were there. There were only nine people with that bus, the rest had to wait for another bus, which was a few hours later. We were in the first bus, Judith went with us, Miguel stayed with the others so that everything would go smoothly. When we boarded the bus we understood why people looked so grumpy: There were a few teams pupils on the bus. That made a lot of noise and did nothing like walking up and down. If you do all day in between, you are a little tired. John and Peter loved it, told in January that Pierre had once a good player and then it went completely. All those boys came along and Peter had to approve even football. The ride was long, we were only at seven fifty, while the planning was at half past three we were in Calafate. The broken bus and public bus caused not so fast together for the delay, but we came anyway. When we were there, Piet still shouted at me and was even kiss goodbye, I'm finally the wife of a very good footballer.
Arriving at the bus station we had to walk two blocks to our hotel Shilling.
Beautiful, fun and yummy
warm. Even the paid excursions: swallowing U.S. $ 656.00, but then you have some. So we
but go back and change together excellent dinner at El Pusto. I was now
bad cold and the bus had already taken two tablets.
Saturday, October 25
Another great day!
A quarter to six the alarm went off, breakfast and half past six at quarter past seven we left
to the Upsala glacier. First half hour with a van and then the boat. After twenty minutes, which we
a light breakfast of a croissant and coffee / tea were given, we got as the
outside deck. It was very cold, but very rewarding. The view of the lake and
surrounding mountains was very nice, but it was great when the ice in sight
came. Very impressive, very blue. It always seems like we are in a
Discovery documentary down. We came more and bigger icebergs against,
it seemed at one time or real icebergs. Icebergs made sure that we do see for
not that we could sail the glacier, we could simply not happen.
That did not matter, we would still be a time to the edge of a glacier. When
we arrived at the landing split the group into a part that a long
to enjoy himself, and a part that a museum visit, lunch was extended
and a short walk would do. We are at the last connected.
We first had a tour in the family museum, very nice though
obviously not been spectacular. Then a comprehensive three-course lunch with
bottles. Good conversations and a relaxed atmosphere, so good. After lunch we walked
to a waterfall, two kilometers back and two back again. Nice and easy, time
for pictures and filming, and look around at our leisure. We have two hours
repeated, including the break at the waterfall itself, so that says something about the
pace. Particularly admiring the first condors of the trip took time, very
nice all. When we came back even though there were walkers and we went back
to the boat. We have not stopped and also via a different route back
dangers, so we not much more icebergs encountered.
When we got back to Calafate first but once I went to a drugstore for some
additional paracetamol, my cold / sinusitis were getting worse. I looked like
fever will get. We quickly put together what is eaten in a shabby tent
(Pizza and ravioli), have been to the supermarket for lunch the next
days and a beer in the hotel and quickly returned. Stuff packed and
laid out and soon went to sleep in my state could not hurt a long night.

Many photos and movies and lots of beautiful views only with the eyes.
A "Lunch with a View" on one of the viewpoints made a good
tuna sandwich and an orange. After that we went back to the other
side, and then met all beautiful coffee taken at the snack bar.
We were all on time as usual to the bus, a fine group who

I wanted to get a beer at the supermarket, the hotel had no bar. Unfortunately
supermarkets were all closed, so I've only met one at the restaurant.
The owner asked me the next day would bring back the empty bottle. At the hotel

So a good set was shaped. When we went hiking blew it
terrible, but the trip was wonderful. The guides took us to
beautiful views and gave us enough time to enjoy film and photos
it.
Also let us special places in the ice and told
us details of the glacier and the formation of the ice, but
Above all, they were very helpful in crossing gaps and
rise and fall on the ice floes. When we at a point on the side
the waterfront of the glacier stood there was a large piece of
front in the water. Unfortunately, no one can take a picture or
filming, we were not there to watch if we were not there yet.
Too bad, but the sound waves and gave some idea of the size
summarizes the fallen block. We kept waiting for a moment whether more would fall off, but
unfortunately. Since we did anything cool pictures and has a broken guide
beer bottle in his backpack made. Apparently not everyone finds it necessary to have their
messes, too bad, but everywhere are people who spoil the case with this kind
behavior.
We went further and looked again at all sites (other) beautiful things. At one time wanted
Mr guides us to a summit climb, but found the woman of the company
guides not a good idea. Probably it has the ultimate responsibility, because
was canceled. Another top well, they have a ladder for us in the ice,
so we (as well with help) were up there for the magnificent views.
A walk on a glacier is very, very special. When we had descended some
chopped the ice from the glacier guides, plastic glasses and bottles came from Bailey's
their backpacks and we toasted. Peter Bailey for the first time and a glacier,
my first time on a glacier (Bailey's is not entirely strange to me).
After the trip was over and we went downstairs. We were ten
up to one hour of walking was. The boat was almost at a lunch stop
held. This gave the people whose lunch on the boat was the opportunity that is as
target. We have al fresco (a lot of wind, but that's all part of it)
ate our sandwiches. After lunch back to the boat to El Chalten. Since
but arrived back to the supermarket (this time in twice because he did not open
was) to grab a beer in the hotel. Then the bags packed, we go
not draw, so we can carry more weight. Then back to the supermarket
and almost as suddenly as I fight my backpack on a shelf by the door had
lay, and my money alone could take it inside. Peter has the backpack
outside but just assumed I leave my passport with not just one door.
Payment was also a problem, they could not return for 10 pesos, while
4.45 pesos I had to deal. With all the change came into my possession amount
finally at 4.30 pesos.
After searching and finding closed Malbec restaurant we had dinner at Pangea. We
been well fed with a bottle of Malbec Thurs David added. Relax, tomorrow
back to Chile to Torres del Paine and other beautiful things there.
Sunday, November 2
We sat in the second team for breakfast and were collected again for our trip back
to Argentina. So here again we had to wait at the bus station. That took a little
longer because the papers were not in order. Later it appeared that the carrier
Passenger list is not ready. A half hour later, at half past nine we went riding.
At half past nine we arrived at the ferry, which unfortunately could not sail. The wind was too
hard it was to wait in the cafeteria at the boarding point was. It was good
was there, it was not until a quarter past six before we could continue. But
och: bit of reading, writing little, little food and a beer make sure all
that time still continues. It's hard to something else, swimming was no
option and against nature simply do nothing. We are in the meantime
just been out to film and it was blowing very much indeed
hard. When the ferry started operating again we could not take the first boat;
cars can first and there were now so common that the first boat soon
vol Sat Fortunately, there was five minutes after half boat, so we were already
get started. We had the bus and running the boat, with other buses
weather was not the case (Chilean logic?). After half an hour sailing
We were across the street and we could quickly drive. We had two
hours to the border and then another four hours to Ushuaia. In the Chilean
border (Chile so) it was like the fire: the passport stamp
and on the note and quickly get back. On the Argentinian side took
a little longer, but it was so bad. Those guys probably wanted to go home,
It was now half past nine in the evening. When we arrived at our Hosteria Les Eclaireur in
Ushuaia the keys were ready, it was hot in the room and there were cold
beers in the minibar. We have the batteries charged, each a beer and eliminated
in the southernmost city in the world only slept under a sheet. We were there
a quarter to three, but wonderful time to be right to go to sleep.
Monday, November 3
Risen to half past seven and had a fine breakfast. We are a part of the
group to make a boat. At first it was unclear whether the
ride it could continue, and while we were waiting we have a stamp in our
passport removed from the southernmost tourist office in the world.
Eventually the boat or by, but we could not go to the lighthouse, before blowing it
really too hard. Again the damn wind that raised obstacles, it is no different,
but still. The trip itself was a bit disappointing, the sea lions and cormorant colonies
were not big, but still fun to watch. The walk across the island
found not very
much, but probably has it all to do with the overwhelming
things during this trip we had already seen and experienced. When we came back from
the walk there was a bottle of coffee liqueur is ready, the master personally fired.
Eventually there were two soldiers made that you have entrusted us. It was
also need to warm up. After the tour, our guide has a group picture
at the sign "Fin del Mundo", and we all from each other but they did.
Then we split up and we went for a walk themselves. We have
king crab soup lunch in restaurant La Casa de Marisco, a nice
restaurant. Ushuaia itself is not much, souvenirs and many restaurants, it seems a
little Valkenburg. We had quickly seen and so we have taken a taxi back
to the hotel. We did actually feel like a beaver tour to do with the group
was arranged fell through. When it appeared that in the hotel brochures layers I
come out of the bath and went to the reception. I have asked if they wanted to call or
Instead there was, it was twenty to six, so time Sat There was room enough, we would
six hours to be picked up. Things together quickly searched the room again a
mess left behind at the reception and waited. The bus arrived promptly at six hours, and we
would even pick up six people. After the driver had the wrong hotel
We have four people have been retrieved and we were so
with six: a couple from Brazil and two girls from Buenos Aires.
We first
about three minutes drive to the place where we could beavers
go see. There we were received by a husband and wife and rubber boots
provided. After we had told them what we wanted to eat in return (we took
both trout). Then we went hiking. It was really close, after less than twenty
minutes
The first walk we met already by beavers, who were not shy and did just
their thing. We certainly admired half hours the animals in different places.
The guide told us some things, but mainly in Spanish, so it was not easy
for some of that understanding. But not that fascinating, watching the animals and
the environment (and what that beavers had destroyed it) was an experience in itself.
When we returned the food was almost ready, the table was covered in a loft, it was
So a very nice place. At the table was quiet, communicating during dinner
is obviously not much, but if that was between Dutch, Spanish
Portuguese and must not take the fall. When we were finished eating
the guide and a hostess with a glass of wine down and smooth the conversation
more. You notice that everyone is trying to make something of it, and we have
a wonderful evening. After dessert we had coffee with a lemon liqueur,
and chatted and listened to by the cozy fireplace. The hostess was
us so nice that we have put into grape brandy was offered and
after a heartfelt farewell we were approached by a friend of the family returned to
our hotel. Went to the supermarket for a beer, another great evening
had.
Tuesday, November 4
I slept after an eventful evening at the beavers. We were last in
breakfast, so there was almost no bread. Yet we have eaten enough, there was enough
other stuff. After paying for the laundry and mini bar we are in a mega-sized bus
Airport gone. Judith did the check for the whole group, so it was all
very easy. After some wait (it is still flying) we were boarding our
flight. What reading and writing and of course just the eyes closed for the day
meditation. At a quarter to five and we landed at half past five we were in the lobby
Castelar hotel in Buenos Aires. It is an old hotel with a beautiful lobby and
even a spa where we may use. Unfortunately, the room is small and dark,
but only two nights and one on the plane) and then we lie
back in our own bed. After a beer (finally a hotel bar) and
payment of the last tour we went to Judith walk to the Plaza de
Mayo and just to the new port area with many restaurants. We have
natural pictures of the Plaza where the foolish their mothers every week
circling, and the Casa Rosada where the government resides and Evita
Peron's speeches from the balcony into account. We have eaten together
at Cabaña las Lilas. It was quite expensive, but it was our
last night together in this holiday. It was a shame as the staff
intrusive, but it lasted only until we had them
not so to be served. The wine and the food was very good.
We then obviously have a nightcap in the hotel taken
and (almost too obviously) very similar to sleep.
Wednesday, November 5
Our first and only full day in Buenos Aires. It was the last day of our
holiday in these beautiful countries. Nice breakfast, and then with almost the whole group
direction city tour by bike. You can only set a wacky Dutchmen on bike
encounter in a city where almost nobody on the bike.
First we had solid half hour walk through the square where the bikes Sam Martin
and the guides were waiting for us. The pipeline was owned by a Dutch who
Activity in Buenos Aires was established. All picked a bike, and go helmpie
with that trade. Too bad that someone started with a broken brake, and someone else after ten
minutes had a flat tire. Moreover, all that was neatly solved by the guides
ceded their bikes. First we passed the monument of the Falklands war,
We are also the nature of the city bike. It is a bit
the Bossche Broek, except that there is little water.
We are further along
biking sightseeing, it was great fun. Collapse was impossible, there
were far too many cars on the road, so what was the answer say
attraction? We also visited the famous street with the colored
houses in the district Boca been, and of course stopped at the stadium
Boca Juniors. The colored street is what we have finally found our
souvenir bought a statue of a couple dancing the tango (how
where else in the city where the dance was invented). The
cost U.S. $ 28.00, but was also very nice and was well packed. At the last moment two
posters: one in Boca and one of the Perito Moreno, have
we do it too
gotten. After cycling we went with two companions in a taxi to the
Cemetery gone to the grave of Evita Peron visit. That's just between
all other family graves, and is not further identified except for the many extra
stamps that are placed there for her. Furthermore, it's just the family tomb
of the Duarte family. Together we also went to the Hard Rock Café in the
gone away for a T-shirt and then a taxi back to the Plaza
de Mayo. We went out together to do our own thing. Piet and I
heben walked around some more things to see, have a gourmet coffee made
at Tortoni's, go eat some empanadas and went back to the hotel
for a beer. I also went to the sauna gone. It was delicious
relax in the warmth, in the large Jacuzzi and sun beds on the
restroom. But I have also in time back to the room around me
to dress for last night: the tango show. We were picked up by
a bus and literally on your doorstep. We had a drink first
(But do some wine) and our order for dinner was included.
Then a dance class, we have terrible laugh.
Sometimes we were serious, but mostly we had fun at ourselves and to others.
To prove that we really can dance the tango we got
also with a certificate. Luckily it was then time for dinner.
It was very good, except that someone on a caterpillar in its tomato
zitten.Weer salad was laughing, but of course she immediately got a different salad. The
meat was very tasty and the wine flowed freely with Peter as head waiter. Even before
dessert started the show.
While photographers and filmmakers were busy with their recordings were the desserts
charged for those who were sitting at table. The show was fantastic and we could
also from the balcony filming because there were no guests. It was very dark,
So it was exciting to see how the movie would come out to see. When we were uitgefilmd
and all pictures were made desserts that were brought there so they do
very good. As we have come to expect at the hotel we were still a
settler taken. You can only build good habits on vacation.
Thursday, November 6
We are still here on the road went to Congreso, on the other side of our hotel. Then
we take the subway for the last time went to the Plaza de Mayo. We wanted a metro ticket
bring it home, so bought three. That turned out not to be needed, we just got back from them
the access gate. Bad luck, but 90 cents € 0.25 pesos we will not go bankrupt.
Went to the harbor district and the Plaza for coffee have been here in the cathedral.
There was perhaps a school, it was full of bouncy balls. Still
some empanadas and met back at the hotel showered in the spa. The bus was right on time,
The journey to the airport well. Check in was a lot harder, but the
big trip we were at least side by side, and that was surely the
important. There are some group photos taken and then it was really time
to bid farewell to Judith.
In years not so good tour guide had
Unfortunately she is not with us back, but she flew one day later. We have
another beer bought our last pesos, and another one on the card.
Then it was time to board our flight to Santiago de Chile. A
lady was so nice to the other side of the aisle to sit
so we could sit side by side. During the stop in Santiago wanted
We buy a bottle of whiskey, but when the clerk heard me English
Madrid said she asked if our destination was. When I told
we would fly to Amsterdam told me that I do not take the bottle
had to buy because I would have to leave Madrid.
Soon be boarding the flight so great. Someone had arranged for some one
year. He had bought a bottle of beer, because they love to drink and some sweets.
Even balloons that we would blow up the plane.
When we went flying we knew that nobody would sit next to us more, we had
together four seats at our disposal! When we had just taken off from the birthday
the pilot called out, of course, we all go congratulate them. The beer
was very quickly, you can not eat your own drinks on the plane. The balloons
were illegal, that is as well that we had requested in advance. Yet it was
all very nice.
Because we had four seats, and I just can sleep upright, three chairs, Piet
itself and could therefore lie stretched out to sleep. That saves a lot of misery
During a night flight, and we feel we were also so in Madrid.
When we arrived we were happy to have the advice of the lady in Santiago and had complied
The whiskey had not purchased. And companion, had two bottles of wine, and so that he could
the toilet flush. Probably because he speaks Spanish, the saleswoman at
Madrid asked him his destination was him and those bottles of wine without
sold anymore. A waste of good wine, and the money.
In Madrid we have a sandwich and a glass of wine taken and included in the aircraft.
Iberia namely an a la carte formula, you get nothing on board. The flight
go to Amsterdam went well.
Right on time at home after a great vacation!
